dmedia-importer software package provides Distributed media library (Media Importer), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dmedia-importer
dmedia-importer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dmedia-importer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dmedia-importer *
You will get with dmedia-importer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
